We had a fantastic tour with Scott. As our driver, he was an incredibly warm, exceptionally knowledgeable host, teacher, and guide. No matter what questions we had, they were answered perfectly. We moved through the terrain at just the right pace---not too fast, not too slow---and experienced unforgettable moments that will stay with us for a lifetime. 100% recommended! - Klein

I had the incredible pleasure of going on a safari in South Africa and it was an unforgettable experience! From the first minute I was amazed by the breathtaking landscape and the variety of wildlife. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and passionate, which made the tour even more exciting. All questions about animals and life in South Africa were answered. We had the opportunity to experience almost all of the "Big Five" up close - elephants, lions, rhinos and buffalo. Unfortunately we didn't see any leopards. Our guide Donald tried very hard to show us as many animals as possible. The encounters were simply magical. The animal observations took place at a respectful distance. Despite this we were able to take great videos and photos. I can only highly recommend a safari in South Africa with Criss Cross! It is a perfect mix of adventure and education. - Friederike

We thoroughly recommend Crisscross, we had a great experience and were looked after very well. We used Crisscross Adventures for a full day and a half day trip around Addo in September 2024. On the full day we visited a private reserve where there is a wide range of animals, including those indigenous to the area. On the half day we just visited the elephant park. In each case, we would describe them as follows: - Knowledgeable: about the area, the animals and what makes for a good tour for their customers. - Thoughtful: taking refreshments, providing warm clothes for the cold breeze and keeping their customers in mind. - Well connected: They made a point of keeping in touch with park officials and other tour drivers to stay up to date with sightings and good experiences for their customers. - Fun: the drivers had a good sense of humour and made the trips very enjoyable. - Customer focussed: In particular on the full day tour, our return was delayed as the driver sought to give us sight of a lion. Our needs and interests definitely came first. When it comes to the individual tours, visiting the private reserve involved many more sightings. Travelling around Addo elephant park did have long periods when we didn't see anything; but when we did it was remarkable. Having the open sided vehicles made a big difference as they gave us a better view and the driver could easily communicate. The lunch we had was really tasty and we appreciated both the hot drinks and the cold drinks that each driver took with them. - Mark
